Description

Tāne Mahuta, a famous and much photographed tree from the Waipoua Forest, Northland, New Zealand. It is the largest living kauri tree, around 2000 years old. Total height 51.5m, trunk girth 13.8m.

The species is Agathis australis, of genus of evergreen coniferous trees in the family Araucariaceae
